Fairness First has one narrow ask: to name fairness in one rule. Many organisations work on the wider problem of making the courts usable. We are not affiliated with any of them, and none of them endorses this campaign. If you need help now, or want to support the wider cause, these are good places to start.

Citizens Advice. Free, independent advice on legal, debt, housing and consumer problems. citizensadvice.org.uk
Advocate. The Bar’s charity, which finds free legal help from barristers for people who cannot afford to pay. weareadvocate.org.uk

JUSTICE. A law reform and human rights charity working towards a fair and accessible justice system. justice.org.uk
Public Law Project. A charity working to improve access to justice and uphold the rule of law. publiclawproject.org.uk
The Access to Justice Foundation. A charity that funds free legal advice and support across the country. atjf.org.uk
The Law Society: 21st Century Justice. The Law Society’s programme of proposals to reform civil justice for ordinary people and small businesses. lawsociety.org.uk
